Travel to Moulay Idriss, the holy city of the first sultan of Morocco, and visit the ancient and fascinating Roman city of Volubilis. Arrive in Meknes, the capital city of Moulay Ismail during the eighteenth century. Continue to El Jadida and arrive in late afternoon for a delicious dinner and a relaxing overnight stay in a comfortable hotel.

Take the road south in the morning to Essaouira via Safi, a former Phoenician and Roman city of fishermen and potters where the Portuguese have left a picturesque "Castle of the Sea" and an elegant white castle, the Kechla, dating to the fifteenth century. Surrounded by fragrant mimosa planted to stabilize dunes, Essaouira formerly "Mogador", became a pleasant and isolated seaside resort. A French architect for the Sultan bin Abdullah planned the blue and white city whose name means, "well designed" in the eighteenth century. The Vauban ramparts of the city offer an interesting and unique characteristic to this charming city. Spend the night in a comfortable and lovely hotel.

You will discover the beautiful beaches of Sidi Kaouki and Taghazoute before reaching Agadir, where you will enjoy a delectable lunch. In the afternoon, visit Taroudant, one of the oldest cities in Morocco. Admire its incredibly well preserved ochre walls and discover the marvellous work of local artisans in the souk. Enjoy dinner before spending the night in a beautiful riad.

Departure to Ouarzazate, the city of cinema and the "door" to the South, via the plain of Sous, and Taliouine Taznakht. Arrive in Ouarzazate for a relaxing lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a tour of the city and a visit to Taourirt the most famous Kasbah for miles around. After a relaxing and excellent dinner, spend a restful night at a local hotel.

You will return to Marrakesh via the stupendous Tichka which rises to 2 260m through the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and the world famous location for many notable films. After lunch, travel the road to Marrakech via the Tizi n'Tichka, in the mountains of the Atlas and return in the late afternoon.
